Yeshvanthapura Constituency Election Results: Assembly seat details, MLAs, candidates & more
Yeshvanthapura assembly constituency is one of the 224 constituencies in the Karnataka legislative assembly of the southern state of India. It is a part of Bangalore North Lok Sabha constituency.
The BJP has fielded S T Somashekar, the incumbent MLA who won the seat in the 2019 by assembly elections. The INC has fielded S. Balraj Gowda. Meanwhile, the JDS has fielded T. N. Javarayigowda while AAP for the first time has fielded Shashidhar C Aradhya from the seat.
In 2019, S. T. Somashekar of the Bharatiya Janata Party won the seat by defeating T.n. Javarayi Gowda of the Janata Dal (secular) with a margin of 27,699 votes.
The elections will commence on May 10 and the results will be announced on May 13.
S.T Somakshekhar of the Congress won the seat by a margin of 10,711 votes, with T N Javarayi Gowda of the JDS coming in second with a 36% voting percentage.
In 2018, Yeshvanthapura legislative assembly constituency had a total of 4,74,817 electors.
The total number of valid votes was 2,87,205.
Indian National Congress candidate S T Somashekhar won and became MLA from this seat. He secured a total of 1,15,273 votes.
Janata Dal (secular) candidate T N Javarayi Gowda stood second with total 1,04,562 votes. He lost by 10,711 votes.
