Hebbal Constituency Election Results: Assembly seat details, MLAs, candidates & more
Hebbal assembly constituency is one of the 224 constituencies in the Karnataka legislative assembly of the southern state of India. It is a part of Bengaluru Urban district and comes under Bengaluru North parliamentary constituency.
In 2023, Hebbal will witness a contest between Mohid Altaf from JD(S) vs Suresha B.S from INC vs Katta Jagadlsh from BJP.
In 2018, Suresh B S of the Indian National Congress won the seat by defeating Y A Narayanaswamy of the Bharatiya Janata Party with a margin of 21,140 votes.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Bharatiya Janata Party candidate D.v. Sadananda Gowda won from Bangalore North Lok Sabha (MP) Seat with a margin of 1,47,518 votes by defeating Krishna Byregowda of the Congress party.
In 2013, Hebbal legislative assembly constituency had a total of 2,10,497 electors.
The total number of valid votes was 1,15,540. Bharatiya Janata Party candidate R Jagadeesh Kumar won and became MLA from this seat after securing a total of 38,162 votes.
Byrathi Suresh of the Indian National Congress (INC) is the sitting MLA and won the 2018 Karnataka Vidhana Sabha assembly election.
As per his affidavit, he owns Rs 618 crore in assets and has liabilities of Rs 103.86 crore. Suresh's assets have seen a nearly 60% jump since 2018 when he owned Rs 398.39 crore in assets.
The elections will commence on May 10 and the results will be announced on May 13.
The winning party must have 113 seats to form the government in the state out of 224 seats.
The constituency is relatively small, but links the rest of the city to north Bengaluru.
