As a win for Congress looks probable in Himachal Pradesh Assembly Polls, party leader Anand Sharma on December 08 demanded an Old Pension Scheme in the state. “Old Pension Scheme should be implemented. The pension Scheme had been demanded by other states too. In Himachal Pradesh, it was demanded by the Government employees and their staff. The reasons will be analysed but Congress has won in north India after several years,” said Anand Sharma. “This will boost morale and influence other states. When the election comes next year - in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh - you will see that a message has been sent,” he added.
