SHIMLA: The Congress on Saturday released its third list of four candidates. Out of the remaining five seats, names have been finalised on four seats, while a call is yet to be taken for one seat - Hamirpur.
As per the list, Yadavinder Goma will contest from Jaisinghpur, Bhuvneshwar Gaur from Manali, Kirnesh Jung from Paonta Sahib and Jagat Singh Negi from Kinnaur.
With this, the party has announced candidates in 67 assembly seats.
Voting will be held on November 12, while counting of votes will be done on December 8.
Nominations for the assembly elections are already going on and October 25 is the last day for filing nominations.
In the Jaisinghpur assembly constituency, the battle for the ticket was between Sushil Kaul and Yadavinder Goma.
The party high command put its faith in Goma who is a former MLA.
In Kinnaur (ST) assembly seat, an intense contest for ticket was between sitting MLA Jagat Singh Negi and state youth Congress president Nigam Bhandari due to which despite taking the decision of giving ticket to all the sitting MLAs, Congress high command had put the decision on Kinnaur seat on hold. Later, the high command selected Jagat Singh Negi as the party candidate.
Similarly, in Manali, the battle for ticket was between Bhuvneshwar Gaur and Harichand Sharma and they were supported by warring factions of Congress due to which the high command was finding it tough to take a call. Later, the party decided to field Gaur.
