NEW DELHI: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), which pulled out of Delhi assembly polls due to differences with BJP, has decided to back the BJP candidates.

At a joint press conference with SAD president Sukhbir Badal, BJP national president JP Nadda said the Akali party had decided to support BJP.
"SAD is one of the oldest constituents of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance. The strong coalition between the two will remain intact," Nadda said.
Akali Dal's decision to not contest the polls had triggered concerns in BJP that it might alienate a section of Sikh voters, which can influence over a dozen seats in Delhi.
