Sabong OC shunted

The EC on Wednesday removed Sabong OC Nanigopal Dutta for his alleged failure to check post-poll violence in the West Midnapore area. The removal comes after Congress and CPM leaders lodged complaints with the commission.

A day earlier, Congress leader and Sabong candidate Manas Bhuniya's anticipatory bail petition was heard at the Midnapore district court.
