Junglemahal sees 24% polling till 9 am

Polling started in the Junglemahal area comprising three Maoist affected districts of Midnapore (west), Bankura and Purulia from 7 am in which 133 candidates are contesting from 18 seats. Polling percentage till 9 am was 24% in Midnapore (west), Bankura 24% and Purulia had 22.4%. EC received 56 complaints in first two hours.

The battle among the Congress, BJP and AAP in the December 4 assembly elections might be hogging limelight but there are other players too trying to make their presence felt in the Delhi's political landscape.
Polling started in the Junglemahal area comprising three Maoist affected districts of Midnapore (west), Bankura and Purulia from 7 am in which 133 candidates are contesting from 18 seats. Polling percentage till 9 am was 24% in Midnapore (west), Bankura 24% and Purulia had 22.4%. EC received 56 complaints in first two hours.
A presiding officer of Balarampur constituency in Purulia was removed as the voters were asked to vote in front of presiding officer.
The DM had been asked to initiate action.
In Ranibundh, Bankura Debalina Hembram of CPM complained that EVM was not functioning. In Raipur school of Bankura, the EVM was not properly guarded and for which poll was stopped.
