Brahmin Association to support AIADMK
CHENNAI: Thamizhnadu Brahmin Association, known as 'Thambraas', on Thursday said it would support the ruling AIADMK in the May 16 Assembly polls.
In a press release, State President of Thambraas, N Narayanan said the "association has decided to support the AIADMK candidates and its alliance candidates in election to the Tamil Nadu State Assembly."
He said the association's district units and branches across the state would work for the victory of the AIADMK.
Earlier this month, another Brahmin outfit, Tamil Nadu Brahmins Welfare Sangam had extended support to the DMK.
DMK had said Sangam functionaries called on DMK treasurer MK Stalin and extended support.
