COIMBATORE: Fifty candidates contesting in 10 constituencies in the district for the May 16 assembly elections in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday voluntarily took an ethical voting pledge after filing their nominations.

The pledge was devised as part of various measures and campaigns for Ethical Voting by the administration, official sources said.

Accordingly, the candidates came forward and took up the pledge soon after filing their nominations in various constituencies, they said.
