Silent wave against DMK, AIADMK, says Javadekar

on Saturday said there is a "silent wave" against corruption and bad governance of both AIADMK and DMK.

Javadekar, who was in Madurai on Saturday to campaign for BJP candidates, said: "DMK president M Karunanidhi said there is a silent wave. Yes, there is a silent wave against both the DMK and AIADMK due to their corruption and bad governance. Amma (AIADMK leader J Jayalalithaa) says she will bring vasantham (spring) to Tamil Nadu. Are rising poverty, unemployment and corruption vasantham? They may be vasantham for you (her). It is not vasantham for people. It is ilaiyuthir kalam, (autumn), Amma." He said the seizure of `103 crore by the Election Commission was a world record. "When more than 100 crore is seized, it means `1,000 crore is being distributed. This is the worst election we have ever seen. Both DMK and AIADMK are afraid and nervous. Thus, they've resorted to money power," said Javadekar.

Asked about the chance of the third front forming a new government after the election, he said, "I don't see any third or fourth front. It is both the Dravidian parties. We (BJP) were not a very important and powerful party here. But there is a new attraction towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Thus, this time, we expect a good response for our campaign and hope that the same continues on polling day also."
