All progress in Pondy wiped by CM: Azad

All India Congress Committee general secretary Ghulam Nabi Azad termed the All India NR Congress government as a disaster in Puducherry. "Whatever development made by the Congress government has been wiped away (by AINRC). Existing industries are closed, special economic zones are scrapped, unemployment has grown manifold and corruption has become rampant in every department," said Azad on Saturday in Puducherry.

He held PM Narendra Modi and Puducherry CM Rangasamy responsible for downscaling the plan size of the Union territory of Puducherry by Rs 1,000 crore. He also accused Rangasamy of nurturing only his and his nephew's constituency. “Employment opportunities are extended only to people in these two constituencies," he charged.
