AIADMK man's father dies during raid
SALEM: A 76-year-old man died following a heart attack in Vazhapadi in Salem on Tuesday night after flying squad officials came to an AIADMK member's house to check whether cash was being distributed. Police said B P Nagaraj, 76, was the father of B C Sivakumar, 45, Vazhapadi town secretary of AIADMK.
On Tuesday evening, DMK members got a tip-off that Selvam was distributing money to voters and had Rs 2 crore in his house. More than 200 DMK and Congress men laid siege to Selvam's house around midnight. At around 1.30am, they found Selvam's father had collapsed.AIADMK cadres blocked traffic demanding action. Police arrested six DMK and Congress cadres and registered an FIR against 15 known persons and 130 unidentified DMK men.
