Party promises free calls, fields all-women team

PUDUCHERRY: Little-known Puducherry Development Party has promised free 3G Wi-Fi internet and one-minute free calls if voted to power in the 2016 assembly election in Puducherry. The party, which released its manifesto on March 19, also promisedto build a mini Eiffel Tower in Puducherry. Party president S Baskaran said the party will nominate women candidates in all the 30 constituencies and released the first list of10 candidates.
The party has promised video-conferencing facilities to enable people living in outlying regions to interact with the elected members.Shipping services between Puducherry and Karaikal, government gymnasiums at every village are some of the other promises it has made.
