No poll deal as of now: Puducherry chief minister

All India NR Congress (AINRC) founder-leader and Puducherry chief minister N Rangasamy said his party had not initiated alliance talks with any party for the assembly election as of now. Rangasamy said his party was ready to face the polls alone but added that he would soon make an announcement on alliance combinations and party candidates. Rangasamy evaded a direct reply when asked if the alliance with BJP still continued. AINRC and BJP successfully fought the 2014 Lok Sabha polls.
