Addressing an election rally here, Chandy added that Pinarayi was still nursing a view that the veteran leader was a comrade with an anti-party mindset. “Will the people believe that these two are going to lead LDF in the assembly election?“ he asked.

Chandy said there was no such difference of opinion in the UDF when it was in power over the past five years. “It was the cohesiveness in UDF that helped us accomplish a lot of things and put up a good performance. There was no difference of opinion in the cabinet. However, the people of Kerala will not forget how V S Achuthanandan criticized his cabinet colleagues when he was the chief minister,“ he said.

Chandy attended UDF election conventions in various assembly constituencies of Thiruvananthapuram on Thursday . He began his tour from Neyyattinkara, campaigning for R Selvaraj, then went to Aruvikkara to campaign for K S Sabarinadhan, then to Varkala for Varkala Kahar, for K S Ajith Kumar in Chirayinkeezhu, for K Muraleedharan in Vattiyoorkavu and for M Vincent in Kovalam.

Chandy will leave for his home constituency Puthuppally on Friday . Over the weekend, he will be touring different districts attending various conventions. He will be campaigning in Thrissur on Saturday , Kottayam, Kozhikode, Kasaragod, Ernakulam, Kollam, Puthuppally, Malappuram, Pathanamthitta, Wayanad, Kannur, Alappuzha and Palakkad in the following days.
