Pre-Poll: two booked for distributing defamatory leaflet accidentally

KOZHIKODE: Kuttiady police, on Sunday night booked two persons, allegedly for defaming the UDF candidate in the constituency. According to police, leaflets containing defamatory statements against Parakkal Abdulla, UDF candidate were distributed in houses by two persons. The police have booked A Byju and P Raghavan in connection with the incident.

In another incident, Valayam police seized 5 highly explosive steel bombs from a vacant land in Chekkiyad Panchayat. The bombs were later defused by the Bomb disposal and Defusal squad.

The bomb was recovered around 9 am on Sunday following information from local people.
