Post-poll violence: NDA hartal in Chalakkudy

Thrissur: NDA has called a hartal at Chalakkudy on Friday to protest against the alleged attack on the houses of the BJP leaders during the victory procession of LDF .

In a complaint lodged with the Koratty police, BJP leaders alleged that the houses of the party local leader Subramanian Master and Meloor panchayat member Sreedevi Jayan were attacked by LDF activists.

In another incident of suspected post-poll violence, four BJP activists were injured during the celebrations of LDF at Perinjanam. Parapparambil Gireesh, Kuruppath Shibin, Ramath Sajeevan and Subeesh were taken to a hospital in Kodungallur, according to Mathilakam Police. TNN
