THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader V S Achuthanandan said that the he would submit details of the cases against chief minister
Oommen Chandy during the trial of the defamation case.Reasserting his allegation that there were 31 cases against Chandy, VS wrote in a Facebook post that Chandy was trying to fool all Keralites.
“After submitting nominations, you asked whether there was any FIR against you.
When we speak about cases, you come up with FIR. Who should register an FIR against you? The police and vigilance, which had pawned their spines before you, would never do that. The people of Kerala know this,“ said VS.
The veteran leader also listed serious cases against Chandy in the same FB post: “Thiruvananthapuram vigilance court ordered that an FIR should be registered against you in the Titanium case in Au gust 2014. Some of your co-accused then approached the high court and obtained a stay. All those stays were vacated by the HC in January, there is no move from the vigilance to register an FIR against you.“
“The Thrissur vigilance court ordered two FIRs against you. The Muvattupuzha vigilance court made strong remarks against you. In Thiruvananthapuram vigilance court, I filed a case against you in the Pattoor land scam. Minister Ramesh Chennithala and the vigilance director are trying to extend the case,“ alleged VS.
He also recalled the case filed by businessman Kuruvila in a Bengaluru court and alleged that Chandy evaded court appearance despite receiving summons twice. “After May 16, you will have enough time to attend those cases“, he said.
Alleging that there are 47 pending cases against Chandy before the Lokayukta, VS said corruption cases are registered before it. He also alleged that the Lokayukta issued a statement that there was no cases against Chandy after being threatened by a personal staff of the chief minister. VS concluded the post by saying that Chandy will be put behind bars for corruption.
