BJP alleges 'cross voting' by UDF and LDF

Kozhikode: BJP leader and NDA candidate in Chengannur assembly constituency, P S Sreedharan Pillai has said that there has been wide- spread 'cross voting' among the LDF and the UDF with the aim to defeat the BJP in many constituencies in the state.
Speaking at a press conference here on Wednesday, he said that the LDF and the UDF leaders had also tried to frighten the minorities.
"The leaders of the rival fronts, including chief minister Oommen Chandy, went around with the campaign that the BJP should not be allowed to enter the assembly at any cost," said Sreedharan Pillai.
He, however, added that despite the campaign, the sitting MLA in Chengannur would be pushed back to the third place when the results of the elections would be declared on Thursday.
