BDJS could not open account in Alappuzha, but gained good number of votes
ALAPPUZHA: BDJS could not open account in the district of its leaders, but the BJP-BDJS alliance could increase the number of votes in Alappuzha.
"The vote share of NDA candidates has increased many folds in majority of the constituencies in the state. The lotus bloomed in one constituency. The votes of NDA candidate in Kuttanad, Chengannur, Mavelikkara, Cherthala and Aroor and many more constituencies has increased well. This indicates that victory is not far away for NDA and in next elections, NDA will prove it, ‘’ said BDJS leader Vellappally Natesan.
He said the BDJS candidates could prove their strong presence in the assembly polls within three and half months and BDJS also got eligibility to get the recognition of the election commission.
BDJS candidate Subash Vasu in Kuttanad, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi campaigned for him, tasted failure. Kuttanad was the centre of attraction in the assembly polls because of the presence of the BDJS candidate Subash Vasu and SNDP had a strong influence in Kuttanad. However, the voters of Kuttanad shattered the dreams of BDJS and BJP. LDF candidate and sitting MLA Thomas Chandy (NCP) has retained his seat with majority of 4891 votes.
