ALAPPUZHA: CPM politburo member Brinda Karat said both the Congress and BJP should stop personal attack in regard with the `corruption’in the AgustaWestland chopper deal case and they should tell the nation the names of the people involved in this case. She was speaking at meet-the-press programme 'Janasamaksham' conducted by press club here on Thursday.
``AgustaWestland chopper deal related to the security of the nation.
It is a grave crime. Even the Italian court punished the erring officials of the company. So the union government should also punish those involved in the crime,’’ she said.
``On allegations leveled against Congress president Sonia Gandhi, she spoke emotionally in Kerala. It is not good and the Congress should come forward to bring the real people behind this huge corruption in front of law,’’ she said.
Talking about PM Modi's Somalia statement, she said she wanted to tell firstly one thing to the prime minister-`# PoMone Modi to Delhi. `` Since Modi became the prime minister of India, we had heard series of blunders from his part. Modi was making malicious comment on Kerala without backing of any data. Before concerning about Kerala, he has to go back and visit the drought affected states including his Gujarat. Modi should do homework when it comes to affairs on Kerala. Nothing we can expect from a prime minister, who hasn't proven his degree certificate right so far,’’ she said.
