Guwahati: The newly floated Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), led by former BJP national executive committee member Prodyut Bora, will contest in 14 constituencies in the assembly elections.
The LDP manifesto says the party will focus on education and health sector among others. "Among others, we want to focus on education, health, agriculture and industry.
Besides, we also want to develop the relation among the neighbouring states and the countries. This is very important for the growth of the state," said Bora, who will contest from Jorhat and East Guwahati.
On Saturday, the party also finalized the list of 14 candidates who will contest in their maiden election.
On the occasion of its first anniversary, LDP is organizing its foundation day lecture to be delivered by former Comptroller and Auditor General of India Vinod Rai on March 22.
Rai is expected to talk on issues facing governance in the Centre and states, which is of critical relevance in the current context of turmoil and general disorder being faced by most sections of society.. tnn
