Bihar Education Minister Professor Chandra Shekhar on February 23 announced that he has signed the Bihar 7th phase teacher recruitment guidelines. Under this phase, over 3 lakh jobs are to be provided under the Education Department.

Now, the proposal will be sent to the Bihar Cabinet for approval.

The announcement is a part of the Grand Alliance government's claim on providing 10 lakh jobs in Bihar.

The 6th phase of recruitment was done over a year ago. Since then, aspirants have staged protests on multiple occasions demanding the recruitment process to begin soon.

Under Phase-7 recruitment, over 3 lakh jobs will be on offer for primary and higher secondary class teachers.

In an earlier statement, Prof. Chandra Shekhar claimed that the recruitment will be completed in 2023 alone.
