SELF-FINANCING POST-SECONDARY FUND
Eligibility: It provides scholarships to outstanding local and non-local students pursuing full-time locally-accredited self-financing sub-degree or bachelor's degree programmes in the country

Amount: HK$80,000 (approximately US$10,300) per year

HONG KONG PhD FELLOWSHIP SCHEME
The Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS) aims at attracting bright students across the globe to pursue their PhD in Hong Kong's universities.

Eligibility: Candidates who are seeking admission as new full-time PhD students to the country's eight universities, irrespective of their country of origin, prior work experience and ethnic background, should be eligible to apply. Applicants should demonstrate outstanding qualities of academic performance, research ability/potential, communication and interpersonal skills

Amount: Stipend of HK$301,200 (approximately US$38,600) and a conference and research-related travel allowance of HK$12,600 (approximately US$1,600) per year for a period up to three years. 250 PhD fellowships will be awarded in the 2019-20 academic year. For awardees who need more than three years to complete the PhD degree, additional support may be provided by the chosen universities

HONG KONG SPECIAL ADMINISTRATIVE REGION SCHOLARSHIP
The scholarship recognises the achievements of outstanding local and foreign students studying in the eight University Grants Committee-funded (UGC) universities, the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, and the Vocational Training Council. The scholarships are renewable annually subject to satisfactory academic performance of the awardees

Eligibility: First-year foreign students from ASEAN countries, India and Korea, who are enrolled in publicly-funded degree programmes in Hong Kong

Amount: HK$80,000 (approximately US$10,300) per year
