UP Board to reopen portal for Class 12 practical marks on April 6–7: Deadline warning issued
The Board of Secondary Education Uttar Pradesh (UPMSP) has announced a special two-day window on April 6 and 7, 2026, to allow schools to upload pending Class 12 (Intermediate) practical examination marks, after lapses in internal submissions impacted thousands of students.
According to an official release issued by Secretary Bhagwati Singh, the results of nearly 34,637 candidates have been adversely affected due to incomplete mark uploads across 652 practical examination centres in the state.
The Intermediate practical examinations for 2026 were conducted in two phases—January 24 to February 1 and February 2 to February 9. The deadline was later extended to February 13 to accommodate pending assessments in some schools.
However, upon reviewing the submitted data, the board found that while external examiners had uploaded marks, many internal examiners failed to submit marks through school logins, leading to discrepancies and incomplete result processing.
In response, the board has decided to reactivate the official portal (upmsp.edu.in) for a limited period. Internal examiners have been directed to upload the remaining marks using the link available on the homepage within the stipulated dates.
The board has issued strict instructions, stating that failure to upload the pending marks within this window will result in affected students being declared failed.
The move is aimed at safeguarding student interests and ensuring that no candidate is unfairly penalised due to administrative lapses.
