UP Board extends Class 12 practical exam deadline till this date: Check details here
The Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Board (UP Board) has extended the deadline for conducting Class 12 (Intermediate) practical examinations for the 2026 session. The decision has been taken as practical exams are still pending in some schools and marks have not been uploaded online in several cases.
Earlier, the UP Board had scheduled the Intermediate practical examinations in two phases. The first phase was held from January 24 to February 1, while the second phase took place from February 2 to February 9. However, due to delays reported by schools, the board has now allowed additional time and extended the deadline till February 13, TNN reports.
As per the latest instructions, all remaining practical examinations must be completed within the extended period. Schools and examiners have also been directed to ensure 100 percent uploading of practical marks on the board’s official website by the same date.
UP Board Secretary Bhagwati Singh said that the extension has been granted only in the interest of students, TNN reports. He also made it clear that no further extension will be given under any circumstances. The board has stressed that conducting practical examinations on time and uploading marks accurately is the responsibility of the concerned schools and examiners.
The board has issued a strong warning stating that if the result of any student is affected due to non-uploading of practical marks within the extended deadline, strict accountability will be fixed. Action may be taken against institutions or examiners found responsible for negligence.
The UP Board has advised all schools to treat the matter as urgent and complete the process without delay. Students have also been asked to stay in touch with their schools to ensure that their practical exams are conducted and marks are uploaded on time.
The Class 12 board examination results depend significantly on practical marks, and any delay can impact the final outcome. Therefore, the board’s decision aims to prevent inconvenience to students while ensuring strict compliance from institutions.
