‘Take action against AU VC and Registrar’
VISAKHAPATNAM: The CPM and AITUC demanded the state governor and state election commissioner to take immediately against the Andhra University Vice Chancellor and Registrar for conducting meetings with the private educational institutions and colleges in support of the North Andhra graduates MLC candidate of YSRCP.
The CPM state executive committee member K Lokanatham and AITUC state secretary Padala Ramana in separate press meets condemned the AU VC’s alleged support to the YSRCP candidate. The Vice-Chancellor Prof. PVGD Prasada Reddy and Registrar Prof. V. Krishna Mohan should resign from their posts immediately, they demanded.
They urged the state chief election commissioner, district election officers should take immediate action against them for misusing their power and violating the election code. They alleged that many mistakes were committed by the ruling YSRCP in the North Andhra MLC elections process and there was no action against them.
