SSC MTS and Havaldar 2026: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will close the self slot selection window for the SSC Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff (MTS) and Havaldar (Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs and Central Bureau of Narcotics) Examination 2025 today, January 25, 2026, at 11:00 PM. Eligible candidates must complete the process on the official website ssc.gov.in before the deadline.
This facility allows candidates to choose their exam city and preferred block of dates for the computer-based examination instead of waiting for the Commission to allot it automatically.
As per the official notice, the computer-based examination for SSC MTS and Havaldar will be conducted from February 4, 2026 onwards.
The self slot selection option is provided to give candidates more flexibility. Once the option is submitted, it will be treated as final. No changes will be allowed later, and the Commission will not accept any requests regarding slot modification.
Candidates who do not select a slot within the given time may face issues with exam city or date allocation.

What if a candidate does not book a slot?

- It will be assumed that they are not willing to appear for the examination
- Their admission certificate will not be generated
- City intimation and admit card details
According to SSC:
- City information will be made available on January 30, 2026
- Admission certificates (admit cards) will be issued 2 to 3 days before the exam date
- The admit card will contain details such as exam centre address, reporting time, and important instructions.
