The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the exam schedule for the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) 2025 Tier 2 examination. The Tier 2 exam will be held on January 18 and January 19, 2026, at various centres across the country. A total of 1,39,395 candidates have qualified from the Tier 1 stage and will appear for Tier 2. The Tier 1 result and merit list were published on the official SSC website. The Tier 2 stage is the next step in the selection process for various Group B and Group C posts in central government ministries and departments.
The Tier 2 exam will be conducted following the selection rules specified in the official SSC notification. Candidates appearing for the exam are required to carry a valid photo ID along with their admit card to the designated exam centres.

Candidates who meet these cut-offs have advanced to Tier 2. The final merit list will be based on cumulative performance in Tier 2 and subsequent stages.

SSC CGL Tier 2 qualifiers
A total of 6,196 candidates have qualified for the post of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO), while 2,781 candidates have cleared the exam for Statistical Investigator Grade II. For all other posts combined, 1,30,418 candidates have successfully qualified. These candidates have cleared the Tier 1 examination and are now eligible to appear for Tier 2.The Tier 2 exam will be conducted following the selection rules specified in the official SSC notification. Candidates appearing for the exam are required to carry a valid photo ID along with their admit card to the designated exam centres.

What happens after SSC CGL Tier 2 exam?
Candidates must appear for the Tier 2 examination on the scheduled dates. After the exam, the SSC will declare the Tier 2 results online on its official website. Based on these results, shortlisted candidates may be required to undergo document verification or additional tests, such as skill tests for specific posts, where applicable.The final merit list will be prepared using marks obtained in Tier 1, Tier 2, and other required stages of the selection process.
