The post of general secretary went to Shivam Singh of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad and Satyam Singh Saini of Samajwadi Chatra Sabha was winner at the post of joint secretary. The post of cultural secretary went to NSUI candidate Aditya Singh.

The results were somewhat disheartening for Samajwadi Chatra Sabha as compared to last year. Last year, SCS candidates have won Four out of Five major seats barring that of general secretary which was son by ABVP.

As far as ABVP is concerned it is on the same ground as compared to last year as last year also the student wing of BJP had won the same position that of general secretary.

Results are encouraging for NSUI which have made is its presence felt on the campus after a long gap of 13 years. The last time any NSUI candidate had won at ASUS elections was in 2005 when

Brajesh Mishra

of NSUI had won the post of vice president. After 2005 elections were held at AU in 2012 and since then none of the candidate of NSUI has ever won any seat.

Although Samajwadi Chatra Sabha manage to get only two seats as compared to Four of last year, but the party could feel happy for the reason that it has retained the post of president continuously for Two years which has never happened earlier. In early elections the post of president have been swinging between ABVP and Samajwadi Chatra Sabha. In 2015 Richa Singh of Samajwadi Chatra Sabha was the president and in the next year, the seat went to ABVP when Rohit Mishra won the seat. In 2017 Avnish Yadav of Chatra Sabha was the winner for the president post and this year Uday Prakash Yadav retained the seats.
