Reflexion 2019, two-day film festival gets underway on Tuesday

in association with Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy is organizing a 2-day film fest ‘Reflexion-2019’ at Mangala auditorium at Mangalagangothri from April 9. Eminent film director Prakash Bare will inaugurate the film festival on April 2. Kishore Alva, president and ED, Adani group and Abhaya Simha, film director will be the chief guests.


Critically acclaimed and award winning films such as Paddayi, Shuddhi, Ammachchi Yemba Nenapu, Hebbettu Ramakka and Naathicharami will be screened on the occasion followed by discussion. Acting vice-chancellor of Mangalore University Kishori Nayak K, will preside over the inaugural function. P L Dharma, chairman of department will be present. As part of the fest, various competitions will be conducted, Dharma said.


Chairman of Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy Nagathihalli Chandrashekhar will be the chief guest at the valedictory function. Writer and noted theatre person Na Damodar Shetty, will be the guest of honour. A M Khan, registrar (administration) will preside over the function. Pammi Kodialbail, president of Coastalwood Artist and Technicians Association will be a special invitee on the occasion, Dharma said.
