to protest delay in the renovation of Eden

Hostel moved in their books and certain other belongings into two rooms in building number 2 of the hostel after getting a go ahead by the university authorities on Thursday.


Ten boarders ended their indefinite fast with students considering the move as a “partial success” of their agitation to get Hindu Hostel which has been under renovation since July 2015. The students celebrated the “partial success” with a victory rally inside the university on Friday afternoon in which close to 150 students participated.

“In a symbolic move we moved in our books and other belongings into the two rooms given to us by the authorities inside the hostel. They have promised us that the renovation will be complete by November 15. We will not disrupt any renovation work inside the hostel,” said
