NIOS Class 10, 12 practical exams 2026 underway, download hall ticket here; date sheet for theory exams expected soon

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has started the practical examinations for the April 2026 public exams for Secondary (Class 10) and Senior Secondary (Class 12) students. These exams are currently underway and are being conducted at different centres in India and abroad.

As per the official schedule, the practical exams began on March 17, 2026 and will continue till April 1, 2026. Students who have registered for the exams must appear at their assigned centres as per the date and time mentioned on their hall tickets.

The hall tickets for the NIOS practical exams were released earlier on March 10, 2026. Students can download them from the official NIOS website using their 12-digit enrolment number.

The practical exams are being held at Accredited Institutions (AIs) or other exam centres allotted by NIOS. Students are advised to carefully check their hall ticket to know their exam centre, subject details and reporting time.

The practical exams for the April 2026 session are underway and being conducted from March 17 to April 1, 2026. These exams take place before the theory examinations every year.

The detailed date sheet for the theory exams has not been released yet. However, it is expected to be announced soon on the official website. Based on previous trends, the theory exams are likely to begin in early April 2026 and may continue till May 2026.
