The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) 2026 registration is closing tomorrow, January 19, 2026, for candidates who wish to apply with a late fee. Conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), the NIFT Entrance Examination (NIFTEE 2026) is the gateway for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate fashion and design programs, including BDes, BFTech, MDes, and MFM.

NIFT 2026 exam details

The exam will be held on February 8, 2026, in a hybrid mode combining Computer-Based Test (CBT) and Pen-and-Paper Test (PBT). It covers undergraduate, postgraduate, lateral entry, artisan, and PhD programs. NIFTEE evaluates candidates through:

• CAT (Creative Ability Test): Tests design sense, observation skills, creativity, and drawing ability.
• GAT (General Ability Test): Includes Communication Ability and English Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, Analytical and Logical Ability, and Current Affairs & General Knowledge.
