Focus on confidentiality and examination security
According to ANI, Pradhan said the NEET examination is scheduled for June 21 and noted that he visited the NTA headquarters to assess arrangements. He stressed that “we have placed extra emphasis on maintaining strict confidentiality throughout the process”, covering stages from question paper setting to subsequent handling and distribution of materials to examination centres.
He added that coordination has been maintained closely with all departments involved and referred to a meeting of secretaries from relevant departments held under the leadership of the Cabinet Secretary. He also stated that he has written to Chief Ministers of all states, seeking “even greater attention this time”, while acknowledging cooperation received earlier.
Pradhan further said that in the coming days, the Union Home Secretary would hold a high-level meeting on related issues, with all Government of India agencies playing their respective roles.
Strengthening administrative structure
The minister highlighted that several new officials have been inducted to reinforce the organisational structure managing examination arrangements. He noted that officers including Joint Secretaries and Directors have been newly appointed and assigned specific responsibilities, ensuring both experienced and new personnel are engaged in the process.
According to ANI, he said that “everyone, whether they have prior experience here or are new, has been assigned specific responsibilities” to streamline execution and oversight.
Cyber security and multi-agency coordination
Pradhan also underlined that cyber protection resources are being mobilised to address potential risks, including support from intelligence and investigative agencies. He said efforts include deploying resources from the Intelligence Bureau and Central Bureau of Investigation to strengthen safeguards around the examination system.
He expressed confidence in the overall preparedness of the team handling the examination process, noting that all relevant mechanisms are being activated to ensure secure and orderly conduct of the NEET-UG 2026 re-test.
