NEET UG 2026 fee refund: 13 lakh candidates submit bank details, check direct link to submit
National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the last date for NEET UG 2026 candidates to submit their bank account details for examination fee refund till June 22, 2026. The facility is available on the official website, neet.nta.ac.in, up to 11:50 pm.
The extension comes after nearly 13 lakh candidates updated their bank details on the NEET UG 2026 registration portal. The NTA said the deadline has been extended to help students who have not yet completed the process.
The NEET UG 2026 examination, conducted on May 3 for admissions to medical courses, was cancelled on May 12 following allegations of a paper leak. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is currently probing the matter. A fresh examination is scheduled to be held on June 21.
While announcing the re-examination, the NTA had said candidates would not have to pay any fee for the retest. The agency also confirmed that the examination fee already paid by students would be refunded.
“In order to facilitate candidates who are yet to submit their bank account details, NTA has decided to extend the facility for submission of bank account details, till 22 June 2026,” the agency said in an official notice shared on X.
The refund facility was earlier available from May 22 to May 26 on the NEET UG 2026 registration portal. The earlier deadline for submission was May 27.
Candidates can submit their details by visiting the official website neet.nta.ac.in and logging in using their application number and password.
After login, candidates have to click on the “Fee Refund Window for NEET(UG) – 2026” link and enter details including account holder name, bank account number, IFSC code and bank name.
The NTA has also allowed candidates to upload a scanned cancelled cheque to avoid mistakes in bank information. Though optional, the agency has recommended uploading it for accuracy.
The NTA said that once candidates submit their bank details, the information will be treated as final and no further modification will be allowed.
