NEET PG counselling 2025: Final round ends February 13; stray vacancy round schedule released
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the complete schedule for Round 3 and stray vacancy counselling of NEET PG 2025, which stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate.
This counselling process is being held for admission to Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Surgery (MS), and postgraduate diploma medical courses against seats that are still vacant.
Candidates who have been allotted seats in Round 3 must complete their admission process by February 13, 2025.
After several changes in the counselling schedule due to addition and withdrawal of seats and ongoing legal cases, the MCC declared the final Round 3 seat allotment result on February 6 on the official website mcc.nic.in.
According to the final allotment data:
Earlier, the MCC had asked candidates to report to their allotted colleges only after the final allotment was announced, but no deadline was shared at that time. The committee has now officially fixed February 13 as the last date to complete admission formalities.

Round 3 seat allotment details
After several changes in the counselling schedule due to addition and withdrawal of seats and ongoing legal cases, the MCC declared the final Round 3 seat allotment result on February 6 on the official website mcc.nic.in.
According to the final allotment data:
- 10,084 candidates were freshly allotted seats
- 2 seats were withdrawn due to duplication and technical issues
- 8,589 candidates received upgraded seats
- 7,094 candidates did not get any upgrade
- 3,450 candidates chose not to opt for seat upgradation
- 7,899 candidates did not participate in choice filling for Round 3
