NCERT CEE 2026 registration underway at cee.ncert.gov.in: Direct link to apply here
The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has started the registration process for the NCERT Common Entrance Examination (CEE) 2026 for admission to various undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programmes.
Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the entrance examination through the official website, cee.ncert.gov.in.
According to the official schedule, the last date to submit the NCERT CEE 2026 application form is June 5, 2026. The entrance examination will be conducted on June 28 in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode.
NCERT offers admission to several programmes through the entrance test, including Bachelor of Education (BEd), Master of Education (MEd), Integrated Master of Science Education (MScEd), Integrated BEd-MEd, and Master of Arts (MA) in Education Technology.
Several institutes will participate in the admission process, including Regional Institute of Education (RIE) Ajmer, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Mysuru, Nellore, and North East Regional Institute of Education (NERIE) Shillong.
The eligibility criteria are different for each programme.
Candidates applying for the Integrated MScEd programme should have passed Class 12 with at least 50% marks with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Physics, Chemistry and Statistics subjects.
Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disability (PwD) category candidates should have at least 45% marks.
Candidates who passed Class 12 in 2024 or 2025, as well as those appearing in 2026, are also eligible to apply.
For admission to the 3-year Integrated BEd-MEd programme, candidates should have a postgraduate degree in science, social science, or humanities with at least 55% marks from a recognised institute. SC, ST, and PwD candidates need a minimum of 50% marks.
For the 2-year BEd programme, candidates should have at least 50% marks in bachelor’s degree and/or master’s degree in sciences, social sciences, humanities, or engineering and technology with science and mathematics specialisation. SC, ST and PwD candidates will get a 5% relaxation in marks.
Candidates applying for the MEd programme should also have at least 50% marks or equivalent grades. Reserved category candidates will get relaxation as per rules.
NCERT has also clarified that there is no restriction on the passing year for candidates applying to BEd, Integrated BEd-MEd, MEd, and MA in Education Technology programmes.
Admission to different programmes will be based on the candidate’s performance in NCERT CEE 2026 and qualifying examinations.
The entrance examination score will carry 60% weightage, while marks obtained in the qualifying examination will carry 40% weightage in the final merit list.
