NBEMS offers free course on AI in Medical Education: Here’s all you need to know
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has launched a free online course on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Medical Education. The course is part of the government’s Viksit Arogya Bharat programme. It aims to help doctors and medical teachers understand how AI is being used in medical education and healthcare. The programme is fully online and does not charge any fee. Doctors do not need any technical or coding background to join the course.
The course is expected to begin in January 2026. The detailed schedule of classes will be shared on the official NBEMS course portal.
The course will run for around six months. It will include about 20 live online modules. The sessions will be spread out over time so that doctors and teachers can attend along with their regular work. Classes will be taken by experts from India and abroad.

Participants who attend at least 75 per cent of the live classes and complete the online assessment will receive a digital certificate from NBEMS. This certificate will confirm successful completion of the course.How to register?
