NABARD has started the application process for its Student Internship Scheme (SIS) 2026-27. The internship programme is aimed at students pursuing postgraduate degrees, PGDM courses, or five-year integrated programmes from recognised institutes and universities in India and abroad.
The scheme seeks to involve students in short-term studies, projects and research assignments that are useful to NABARD and linked to agriculture, rural development and related sectors. According to the notification, Indian students studying overseas are also eligible to apply.
Who can apply?
Students pursuing postgraduate studies in Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Fisheries, Agribusiness, Economics, Agri-economics, Social Sciences and Management can apply if they have completed or are completing the first year of their course.

Applicants seeking an internship in a particular state must either be studying in that state or be a resident of the state. However, the five seats available at NABARD's Head Office in Mumbai are open to students from across India.
