The Class 10 results were announced during an official press conference by Board chairperson Trigun Kulkarni. The Maharashtra SSC examinations concluded on March 18, 2026, after being conducted across the state between February 20 and March 18. More than 15 lakh students appeared for the Class 10 examinations held at 5,111 examination centres in Maharashtra. The Board conducted examinations in two daily shifts, including morning and afternoon sessions.
The state recorded an overall pass percentage of 92.09 per cent in the SSC examinations this year. Girls once again performed better than boys, securing a pass percentage of 94.96 per cent, while boys recorded 89.56 per cent. Compared to last year, the overall pass percentage declined by 2.01 per cent across Maharashtra.
Konkan records highest performance
Among all divisions, Konkan registered the highest pass percentage at 97.62 per cent. Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar recorded the lowest pass percentage with 88.41 per cent students clearing the examination.
The examinations were conducted in offline mode and included subjects such as English, Mathematics, Science, Social Science and two optional language papers. The question paper pattern included multiple-choice questions along with short and descriptive answers.
