The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education declared the Maharashtra SSC result 2026 on Friday. The Class 10 results were announced during an official press conference by Board chairperson Trigun Kulkarni. Students can access their provisional SSC marksheets online from 1 pm through the Board’s official result portals.
The Maharashtra SSC examinations concluded on March 18, 2026, after being conducted across the state between February 20 and March 18. More than 15 lakh students appeared for the Class 10 examinations held at 5,111 examination centres in Maharashtra. The Board conducted examinations in two daily shifts, including morning and afternoon sessions.
The state recorded an overall pass percentage of 92.09 per cent in the SSC examinations this year. Girls once again performed better than boys, securing a pass percentage of 94.96 per cent, while boys recorded 89.56 per cent. Compared to last year, the overall pass percentage declined by 2.01 per cent across Maharashtra.
Konkan records highest performance
Among all divisions, Konkan registered the highest pass percentage at 97.62 per cent. Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar recorded the lowest pass percentage with 88.41 per cent students clearing the examination.
The examinations were conducted in offline mode and included subjects such as English, Mathematics, Science, Social Science and two optional language papers. The question paper pattern included multiple-choice questions along with short and descriptive answers.

Students can check their Maharashtra SSC results through the official website, mahahsscboard.in. The result link has also been activated on hscresult.mkcl.in for online access to provisional scorecards.
Candidates need to keep their roll number and mother’s name ready before accessing the result portal. These details are required to log in and download the provisional marksheet.
Steps to download Maharashtra SSC scorecard
Students can follow a few steps to access their SSC result online.
First, candidates need to visit the official Maharashtra State Board website. After opening the homepage, they should click on the Maharashtra SSC Result 2026 link.
Candidates must then enter the required credentials in the login window. Once submitted, the Maharashtra SSC result 2026 will appear on the screen. Students can download the marksheet and keep a printed copy for future reference.
The online marksheet includes details such as subject-wise marks, total marks and qualifying status. Students must later collect original marksheets from their respective schools.
How to check result through DigiLocker
Apart from official websites, students can also access their marksheets through DigiLocker.
To check results through DigiLocker, students need to open the DigiLocker website or mobile application. After logging in, they should select the required document category and enter the necessary details.
Once the verification process is completed, the SSC marksheet will appear on the screen. Students can then save the document for future use.
Examination pattern and passing marks
The Maharashtra SSC examinations were conducted in offline mode for a duration of three hours. The examination pattern included multiple-choice questions along with short and descriptive answers.
Each subject carried 100 marks, including 80 marks for theory and 20 marks for internal assessment. Students were required to secure at least 33 per cent marks in every subject and overall to qualify the examination.
