G K Pillai, managing director, chief executive officer, Walchandnagar Industries Ltd. along with Prakash Apte, chairman designate, Kotak Mahindra Bank handed over the post graduate diploma certificates to 177 students of KIAMS 2018 batch from both the Pune and Harihar (Karnataka) campuses. who is member of governing council at KIAMS was present for the convocation, said a statement issued by the institution.

At this 19th convocation ceremony of KIAMS, Yogesh Sutar was awarded gold medal for 'best overall academic performance' and aslo recognition for topping in finance. Abhishek Lahoti won the silver medal for 'best overall academic performance'. Another student, Tamanna Sharma, got recognition for topping in marketing, Chandrayee Ghosh was felicitated for topping in human resource and Chiddarwar Lakshmi Hemant for felicitated for topping in operations management. The distinguished alumni award was given to Nikhil Damle and Vikas Sethiya.

Pillai and Apte spoke about employee qualities and leadership at the convocation ceremony.
Kirloskar said in the statement that, "Data analysis is the future of how businesses will operate. It will help create micro level precision to energise, stabilize and grow business. And our Institute is gearing up to meet these challenges."
