KCET result 2026: KEA issues important clarification for candidates without ranks
The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has issued an important clarification for candidates whose Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2026 ranks were not displayed in the results announced on June 6.
According to KEA, the issue affects only a specific group of candidates whose Class 12 or equivalent examination marks were not available with the authority. Since these marks are required to calculate ranks, such candidates have not been assigned ranks yet.
To help students resolve the issue, KEA has activated a special online facility through which candidates can submit their qualifying examination marks and upload a copy of their marksheet.
In an official statement shared on social media, KEA said that marks of some candidates from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) and other state boards were not available online.
The authority stated that candidates had been informed several times to upload their marks through the designated portal. However, some students did not complete the process, due to which their ranks could not be generated.
KEA has assured students and parents that there is no need to worry, as the issue can be resolved online.
Candidates whose ranks are missing can follow these steps:
After verifying the information, KEA will generate and publish a Spot Rank within five days.
