This year, approximately 7.10 lakh students appeared for the 2nd PUC examinations conducted between February 28 and March 17, 2026. Commerce students recorded a solid performance with 88.04% pass rate. Of 2,07,085 candidates, 1,82,317 passed the examination, narrowing the gap with Science stream and demonstrating steady academic improvement across subjects like Accountancy and Economics.

The Arts stream, while still trailing other streams, showed a significant surge to 72.86% pass rate from last year’s 53.29%. Out of 1,34,921 students, 98,310 cleared the exams, marking Arts as the most improved stream in percentage terms.
