VISAKHAPATNAM: The
junior doctors
pursuing post-graduation at Andhra Medical College-King George Hospital (AMC-KGH) are continuing with their boycott of elective duties over their pending stipend issue.
The junior doctors conducted a rally from
AMC
to the district collectorate on Monday and
AP Junior Doctors' Association
(
APJUDA
) members gave representations to the district collector
V Vinay Chand
. The district collectors assured them that he would look into the stipend regularization issue.
The first year PG medicos have not been getting stipends since five months while the second, third year and super-specialty PGs have not been receiving stipends since three months. The medicos resort to duty boycott every few months over stipend issues and have been requesting the government to address their problem.
