JEE Main 2026 Session 2 city intimation slip expected soon: Exam scheduled from April 2
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the city intimation slip for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 shortly, allowing candidates to check the city where their examination centre will be located. The April session of the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2026 is scheduled to be conducted from April 2 to April 9, 2026.
Once released, candidates will be able to download the city slip by logging in with their application number and date of birth on the official JEE Main portal.
The city intimation slip is issued ahead of the admit card to help candidates plan their travel arrangements if their exam city is different from their place of residence.
It is important to note that the city slip is not the admit card. It only informs candidates about the exam city allotted to them, while the exact exam centre address, reporting time, and shift details will be mentioned in the admit card.
The JEE Main 2026 Session 2 admit cards are expected to be released a few days before the examination begins.
The registration window for the April session has already closed. Check important dates for session 2 below:
The Joint Entrance Examination (Main) is conducted twice every year—January and April sessions—by the National Testing Agency. Candidates can appear in both sessions, and the best score is considered for ranking.
Qualifying candidates become eligible to appear for the Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced), which serves as the gateway for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and other premier engineering institutes across the country.
Candidates are advised to regularly check the official website for updates regarding the city intimation slip and admit card release.
