JEE Main 2026 session 1 answer key: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the provisional answer key and recorded response sheet for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 Session 1. Candidates who appeared for the exam can now check their answer keys and responses online and raise objections, if required.
The answer key is available for Paper 1 (Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology). The objection window is open for a limited period, and challenges can be submitted only in online mode.

How to download JEE Main 2026 answer key and response sheet
Candidates can follow the simple steps given below:
- Visit the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in
- Click on the link that says “Challenge(s) regarding Answer Key”
- Log in using your application number and password
- Enter the captcha code and submit
- The provisional answer key and your recorded response sheet will appear on the screen
- Download and save them for reference

Steps to raise objections against JEE Main 2026 answer key
If a candidate is not satisfied with any answer, they can raise an objection by following these steps:
- Log in to the candidate portal at jeemain.nta.nic.in
- Click on “Challenge(s) regarding Answer Key”
- Select the question ID you want to challenge
- Choose the correct option from the given list
- Upload supporting documents, if any, in one PDF file
- Click on “Save your claim”
- Pay the challenge fee of ₹200 per question using debit card, credit card, or net banking
- Submit the challenge and keep a copy of the confirmation
Important points to remember
- The challenge fee is non-refundable
- Objections will not be accepted after February 6, 2026 (11:50 pm)
- Challenges can be submitted only through online mode
- No individual candidate will be informed about the acceptance or rejection of their objection
- The final answer key will be prepared after all challenges are reviewed by subject experts
