India Post GDS recruitment 2026: The Department of Posts, under the Ministry of Communications, has invited applications for India Post Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) recruitment 2026. The registration process is currently underway and will close exactly next week on February 14, 2026.
This recruitment drive aims to fill 28,740 vacancies across various postal circles in the country. The posts include Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) and Dak Sevak. Candidates who have passed Class 10 and meet the required conditions can apply online, according to the official detailed notification.

However, female candidates and those belonging to SC, ST, PwD, and Transgender categories are exempted from paying the fee.
