IISc Bangalore's Q-Daksha Internship Programme 2024 for Science and Engineering students: Direct link to apply, benefits, eligibility and more
IISc Bangalore Q-Daksha 2024: The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore has begun the online application process for the Q-Daksha student internship programme 2024. The IISc launched the registration process on National Science Day, which is February 28.
In a tweet on the social media platform X, IISc Bangalore's Quantum Technology Initiative informed that the registrations for Q-Daksha Student Internship programme 2024 has commenced. The tweet read, "Happy to announce that we are back with the Q-Daksha Student Internship Program 2024 on this National Science Day! Q-Daksha 2024 registrations are now open! To learn more about the program and to apply, visit: iqti.iisc.ac.in"
Students belonging to Science or Engineering disciplines, and are interested in Quantum technology research can apply on the Q-Daksha 2024 portal till the last date of March 21, 2024. However, it is meant exclusively for students from Karnataka.
What is the eligibility criteria?
Eligibility for the internship programme extends to students enrolled in the third or fourth year of Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or Bachelor of Technology (BTech) programmes, as well as those in their first or second year of Master of Science (MSc) or Master of Technology (MTech) programmes. As stated before, this opportunity is exclusively available to students currently studying in Karnataka.
What is the area of focus?
In an official announcement, the institute stated that this is an excellent opportunity for aspiring students to actively participate in and observe Quantum Technology research at IISc. The institute emphasises the interdisciplinary nature of quantum technology and encourages students from various science and engineering disciplines, including but not limited to Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics, Nanotechnology, and others, to take advantage of this opportunity.

The internship lasts 4 to 8 weeks and participants receive an appropriate stipend during this time, according to the notice.
