IIM Kozhikode opens admissions for 19th Executive MBA batch; working professionals invited to apply
The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode has opened admissions for the 19th batch of its Executive Post Graduate Programme (EPGP) in Management. The two-year programme is designed for working professionals who want to upgrade their leadership and management skills while continuing their careers.
The announcement was made at a media event by Prof. Debashis Chatterjee, Director of IIM Kozhikode. He highlighted that the programme has helped professionals from different industries build leadership skills and prepare for changing business needs. He also noted that areas such as data analytics and artificial intelligence are becoming important in modern management.
“The EPGP has consistently brought together professionals from different sectors and career stages. We aim to develop globally aware and technologically skilled leaders who can adapt to change,” Prof. Chatterjee said.
The 18th batch of the programme recorded 672 participants, making it the largest Executive MBA cohort in the institute’s history. Women made up 29 per cent of the batch, the highest participation so far.
Participants came from industries such as information technology, consulting, banking and financial services, manufacturing, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, energy, legal services and aerospace. Work experience among participants ranged from three years to more than 20 years.
The programme combines online learning with campus immersion. It includes more than 750 contact hours over two years.

The programme is delivered through an interactive learning platform. Teaching methods include case studies, assignments, presentations and sessions with industry experts.
Participants will also attend three one-week campus immersions. An optional international immersion is also available to provide global exposure.

Scores should be valid within three years from the EMAT date.
After successful completion, participants receive alumni status and join the institute’s network of over 15,000 professionals.
Established in 1996 by the Government of India, IIM Kozhikode began its academic journey in 1997. The institute now offers a wide range of programmes including doctoral, executive and management development courses.
The institute is ranked third in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2025 for management. It is also globally accredited by EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System) and AMBA (Association of MBAs).
IIM Kozhikode has also launched several new programmes, including a four-year Bachelor of Management Studies introduced in 2025.

Selection process
Admission to the programme includes:
- Executive Management Aptitude Test (EMAT)
- Personal interview
Candidates can also submit valid scores from:
- Common Admission Test (CAT)
- Graduate Record Examination (GRE)
- Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT)
Scores should be valid within three years from the EMAT date.
After successful completion, participants receive alumni status and join the institute’s network of over 15,000 professionals.
